Fences on main roads

I'd love to be able to afford a house further off the main road, but unfortunately I'm not there yet. In the meantime, we live near a main road, and we have a huge fence to keep the dogs and the kids inside and the noise out. It's a challenge to find a design for a really big fence that doesn't look like a jail fence! I have researched all of the options I have to keep everyone safe and make our yard as comfortable as possible, and I thought this info might be useful for other homeowners like me.

Is Chain Link Fencing Suitable For Residential Spaces?

by Ellen Wallo

For a majority of homeowners, fencing is simply a structure that contributes to the overall appeal of their space. Thus, it is not surprising that picket fences, timber-slatted fences and ornate, wrought iron fences tend to be a popular choice for people that want to boot kerb appeal of their residence. And when it comes to securing the space, it is assumed that your fencing supplies need to be intimidating and foreboding, such as steel fences. The truth is one of the most underrated supplies that you could benefit from choosing is chain link fencing. Usually referred to as commercial chain link fencing, this material is slowly making its entrance into residential spaces as the main perimeter fencing supply for several reasons, as illustrated below.

High-security

Although chin link fencing is often associated as a temporary fencing solution, the reality is that this type of fencing is incredibly secure. The interlocking wires that have been woven together create an incredibly resistant barrier. In addition, if you choose the higher grades of steel or your chain link wire, then you can be assured that your fencing will be impenetrable. Moreover, the chain link wire is attached to posts that are embedded deep in the ground, ensuring that they are not vulnerable to falling over. If your primary concern for your property is security, ensure that the diamond shapes that make up the chain link fence's mesh are small so that outsiders cannot scale the fence. Lastly installed barbed wire on top of your chain link fencing to increase its security.

Unbeatable durability

Australia, admittedly, is not known to be as disaster-prone as a host of other countries. Nonetheless, this does not mean your property is in the all clear. Disaster-preparedness is always essential to ensure that your property is protected to some degree. And if you live in an area that is prone to wildfire or cyclones, then it is not in your best interests to install wood fencing. Chain link fencing is a better option for your property for a number of reasons. Also renowned as hurricane fencing, chain link is capable of withstanding the most inclement weather patterns. Furthermore, it is also capable of withstanding severe inclement weather and other natural forces.

Competitive pricing

Fence installation can be a pricey endeavour, more so if the perimeter if your home is massive. So if your budget is tight, then a chain link fence is the most cost-efficient option for your pocket. The chain wire supplies are significantly more affordable than other materials. Additionally, chain link fencing does not need the same expensive upkeep as timber fencing, since it does not need treating, re-coating and so on.
